Currituck Beach Lighthouse

The Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Museum Shop are open daily in season 9a.m .until 5p.m. During the summer the lighthouse will remain open on Thursdays until 8pm. The season begins 1-week before Easter and remains open through the weekend after Thanksgiving Day. The site is closed on Thanksgiving Day. During periods of high winds or thunderstorms the lighthouse tower may be closed to climbers. Although admission to the grounds and parking are free, there is a fee to climb the tower for everyone 8 years of age and older. The Museum Shop accepts cash, checks and credit cards for their merchandise only and not for climbing the lighthouse. Children 12 and younger may climb only if accompanied by an adult. Parents or guardians must sign a waiver for unaccompanied children ages 13 through 17.
