We stayed here in August and couldn't have been happier with the rental. We have a large family and there is plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Many amenities such as a room at the ground level with tv and fussball table. Living area was perfect for seating a meals and for games. The house was clean and modern. --Message from Manager-- Hi Joanne, thank you for your review! We are SO happy that YOU'RE happy with your last vacation at Woodshed! It really is perfect for larger groups - plenty of common areas for spending time together but still enough space for everyone to have their privacy when they need it. Glad you guys enjoyed the rec room, it's great for the kids and also serves well as an additional living area. Thank you again and we hope you'll return to Woodshed for your next Outer Banks vacation!

This vacation was a family reunion, with family coming from Colorado, Pennsylvania ,Virginia and North Carolina. The house was perfect !!!Right on the beach, and backed up to a view of the Wright Brother Memorial. Several of us walked over, but I admit it was a little further than we thought and very hot. Each queen bedroom was nicer than the next with its own bathroom. The teenage boys loved the room with the bunks and having their own bathroom.(The adults liked that too) The 2 smaller children liked having the twin beds. The dining table was perfect for all the adults and the little kids liked having their own private table. The elevator was great for bringing in and taking out of luggage, but that was truly the only time we used it. The views from all the decks were fabulous and there was plenty of room to get away from one another , if need be. All of the grandchildren swim like fish, but having a life guard right next door was a wonderful feeling. The most fun we had was playing corn hole on the beach each evening. We had brought a set from home ,so with two sets, we had double elimination tournaments. We entertained many beach walkers with our antics. (Just great fun for all.) The kids also loved the lower level and especially the ping pong table and foosball machine. This was their favorite camping out place . All in all it was a wonderful vacation. The house was clean and well equipped.(Having two refrigerators was a blessing) The house felt like "our own beach home" I attribute this to the home owner and the warm way in which the house was decorated. It did not feel at all commercial. We hope to rent the house again in the summer of 2014. Next year, some of the family already has plans and it is too big for two families, but I must confess that I have not been able to find anything smaller that is comparable. It didn't hurt that we had wonderful weather and a full moon. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who is interested in OBX and just hope all my enthusiasm doesn't mean it won't be available for my family in 2014. Stan White did a great job of advertising the property and answered all my questions before hand. They also kept us up to date before our arrival. I also enjoyed the tote bag and bragged about it to my friends. I particularly liked the visual floor plan, which was dropped at some time. I would recommend putting that back in. I am a visual person and knew just who was going to sleep where before we got there. I have not stopped talking about this very special vacation.
