Outer Banks Rental: #N135A - SEASONS ON THE SOUND

This property had a great lay out with plenty of room for our extended family. Our teeneage girls really enjoyed having their own space with game room, frig etc. The master suite with its view of the bay was great. The great room had a great layout with plenty of room for family dinners. We enjoyed having access to the bay and wished we had brought our kayak. The pool was a real disappointment - an indoor pool which was not very well maintained and a surprise given the quality of the rental and location on the water. Our biggest complaint is the fact that accessing the beach required a drive to a public location with limited parking or a VERY long walk. I don't understand why there is such limited public access not only in Duck but in most of the Outer Banks. Also, the traffic is horrendous - not only to get on and off the island but when you are there. My husband and I are avid bicylclists and found our rides most unpleasant. Maybe a visit in the off season is the way to go.
