76th Anniversary Season of The Lost Colony

Monday - Saturday, 8:30 p.m. Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paul Green’s The Lost Colony recounts the historical events leading to the disappearance of the first English colonists who settled on Roanoke Island over 400 years ago. A live performance featuring epic battles and Indian dances to the pageantry of the Queen and her court. Adults half price on Saturday nights. Children 12 and under free on Monday nights. Backstage tours at 7:30 p.m. Admission.

Ages 11 and older, in distances of 500 meters, 1 km, and 2 km, beginning at 8:00AM. This is the same location as the Outer Banks Triathlon. The swim is limited to 300 people, will be timed, and is a USA Swimming sanctioned event. Duck’s Singer Songwriter Series

7th Annual Duck Jazz Festival

This free, all-day event is open to the public and will begin at 11:00 a.m., with gates set to open at 10:00 a.m. The Duck Jazz Festival showcases national, regional, and local jazz musicians. Attendees are welcome to brings chairs, food, coolers, blankets, and pets. No beach umbrellas or tents are permitted at the event. Food and drinks will be available to purchase from various Town eateries and chairs to rent.

Duck’s Yuletide Celebration

The Town of Duck, in cooperation with our local business community, announces the 2nd Annual "Duck Yuletide Celebration". Join us Friday and Saturday, November 30, and December 1, 2012 for a Town-wide celebration of Yuletide Cheer. On Friday, Duck merchants will keep their doors open late for shoppers. To complement your shopping experience, Duck eateries will host one of their famous Duck Tapas Crawls from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Participating restaurants will serve tapas and Holiday cheer for one special price that is sure to be pleasing to every palate. On Saturday,the Town of Duck will hold its Yuletide Celebration on the Duck Town Green, 1200 Duck Road, beginning at 3:00 p.m., with Santa arriving on a fire truck. Enjoy the sounds of live music and sing along with your holiday favorites. The event will feature the announcement of the winners of the Town-wide “Business Decorating Contest” and will culminate in the lighting of the Town’s Crab Pot Tree.
